The Belmont Child Care Association (BCCA) will host its annual Anna House Holiday Shopping Event for the children of the backstretch in the Turf and Field Club on the fourth floor at Belmont Park on Saturday, December 10 at 1 p.m.

Celebrating its 10th year, the event gives children the opportunity to “shop” for gifts for their parents and siblings from items donated to the BCCA. Guided by a BCCA board member or volunteer, children browse through the available items – everything from toys and games to clothing – and select gifts for their family members, which are then wrapped, tagged, and sent home with the child to share with his or her family.

The BCCA is currently accepting donations of new gifts for children, teens and adults, as well as financial donations to buy additional presents for the more than 500 children from the backstretch and surrounding community of Elmont expected to attend.
